A Leading Source in Our Job Market

Every city in the country has a public works department, this department requires public works jobs are. The level of skills that it takes to work in each department varies. As with any field of work the educational requirements are different. The public works department takes care of a number of projects. Public works jobs give much needed attention to the infrastructure of a community and its everyday workings. When people think of public works jobs they may be thinking of jobs that are low paying and unskilled. Not so. There are jobs ranking into the $200,000 range. The Sandhogs of New York City make $100,000 in salaries plus benefits.
The infrastructure of the country is in disrepair and is going to be in need of people to make those repairs. Money has already been pledged to get this rebuilding going. In the public works department water facilities must be maintained, roads built, surveys must be taken, traffic facilities maintained, and public transportation facilitated. Storm drainage facilities are an extremely important part of our public works area whether you live in the a part of the country where snow and ice comes on a regular basis or where rain and rivers cause flooding, without a well kept drainage system living in our cities could be quite possibly, impossible.
There are people who work in public works jobs that are quite common to our everyday live. Trash pick up, servicing traffic lights, meter readers, park maintenance personnel, city clerks and many others. There are the people who have the job of ordering equipment, others who handle the money being allocated for different projects, and those whose job it is to see to it that all of these things get done.
Without any of these a city state or county cannot function. With focus now being placed on the repairing of roads and bridges the need for more public work jobs should be on the rise. The public work jobs will become a leading source in our job market.
With the need to become energy independent the need for better public transportation is a very important part of the public works jobs system. Placing money into public works jobs is investing in the community, putting people to work and repairing neighborhoods. It is felt that the direction of the future administration will be to work towards this goal of energy independence and infrastructure repair.
We go about our everyday lives not thinking about the streets we drive on or how the traffic lights change. We never really think about the inter workings of the cities. The only time we give any thought at all to these activities is when the system stops working and even then we depend upon it being corrected as soon as possible. This is the job of the public works department and if they were not there our day-to-day activity would not go with the relative smoothness that it does. There are indisputably times when things do not go as planned but overall the traffic lights work, the roads are there and the snowplows are out when we are asleep. Thanks to public works jobs. www.jobsformenow.blogspot.com

Virtual Job Basics: How to Create a Polished Online Resume

These days, many companies require you to send an electronic resume and cover letter instead of mailing them. While this is done for several reasons, the main reason is that the number of resumes, especially for virtual positions, is usually very high. In order to cut down on the time it takes to process each applicant's resume, companies have resorted to using online resume databases or instructing applicants to email resumes to one person in the office in order to save time and find the right person for the position as quickly as possible.
Creating a Virtual Resume
Creating a virtual resume is similar to creating a traditional resume. While you should include all the basic sections in an electronic resume, you may need to format it differently so the document isn't a jumbled mess when the hiring manager receives it. When creating your resume, you should create four different versions of it – a standard print version, an e-mail version, a scan-friendly version, and a plain text version. By creating different formats all at once, you will save yourself a lot of time when applying for virtual positions.
The standard print version can be used when companies specifically ask you to send one to their offices, or when you are turning in an application in person. An e-mail resume is a simple version that does not include bold or italicized headings. It is more straight-forward with simple headings that indicate a new section. If sending an email resume, always check it first before sending it. If copying it from a word processing program like MS Word, you may need to alter it to fit the email program you're using. Changing the font size, style, and making sentences shorter are common ways to make an email resume more appealing.
A scan-friendly version of your resume is also less complex than a standard print version. You should remove bold or italicized headings because those can appear blurry or faint to the reader. Plain text versions should be composed in MS Word or other word processing program so you can check for grammar and spelling errors. You can easily cut and paste your finished resume into MS notepad or other plain text program. You can use this version when uploading your resume into a company database.
Sending Your Virtual Resume
Always follow the company's instructions when it comes to sending a resume. If the company wants you to send the resume in an email instead of an attachment to the email, make sure you do so. As a potential virtual employee, you need to show employers that you can follow directions.
Always include a cover letter in your email. This should be your standard cover letter. It is considered unprofessional not to send a cover letter. Before sending the email, check to make sure you are using the correct email address. If the company asks you to use specific words in the subject line, do so. If not, use the job title in the subject line. When uploading your resume into a company's database, make sure that you include keywords that are relevant to the job position within the body of the resume. Use words from the ad, the title of the position, or other words you feel are applicable. Don't allow your resume to become lost in the system, take the time to find keywords that will make your resume stand out.
Keep in mind that electronic resumes are much easier to discard if they are not formatted properly. Depending on the number of responses a hiring manager receives, they may discard all resumes that are formatted incorrectly before reading them just to make their job easier. Make your resume stand out by sending a professional document that has been edited and formatted correctly.www.jobsformenow.blogspot.com

The Many Mind-Blowing Benefits of a Dubai Job

Landing a Dubai job has been the top priority of working individuals worldwide for a very long time. Why? As you read this article you will end up wondering why the heck not?
You have probably heard about the craze around job opportunities in Dubai and how everyone and their little puppy dog want to move there? It’s hard to avoid the chatter as more and more people are considering a Dubai career.
So why is everyone so lured to the region? The answer lies mainly in the benefits of a Dubai job. Dubai jobs are not like any other job in any other country. Because of the government’s ambition and vision, they have and are going “out of their way” to attract the best and brightest from all around the world.
It is not easy to do that. Especially not in a land where there are so many fundamental differences in certain aspects of life such as culture, weather, religion, freedom, government and day to day lifestyle just to name a few. To overcome all that, Dubai jobs come with benefits that are far better than what I’ve seen anywhere else in the world.
Here are just a handful of those to give you a preview of how good it can get for you if you are educated and qualified. You also have an upper hand if you carry western (North America/Europe) corporate experience under your belt.
Taxes
A much bigger factor than what most people think or can remember. We are so used to just automatically paying part of our income in tax withholdings that we don’t realize how big of a burden this can be (at least here in America). For someone making a good living from employment, the government “effectively” taxes at nearly 40% (State, Federal, City, FICA, etc). That means 40 cents of every dollar goes to your long lost relative Uncle SAM.
Did you know that if you work in America you work the first 3-4 months of the year for free? That is right. What you make from January to potentially April goes to the government. Only then you start filling your personal coffers. How sad is that?
So if I am making $120,000 annually, I am really only taking home $72,000. That is a healthy 48,000 I am paying in tax! That is $4,000 per month! What can you do with $4,000 extra dollars a month?
Dubai has no personal income tax. You get to keep everything you make! Should I say that again?
Better Total Compensation Packages
To attract the best talent, Dubai jobs usually pay 20% higher on average. So not only will you save on taxes, but you will also make more on your top line salary (basic salary as they call it).
So take my scenario. If I get a 20% raise on $120,000, I am now making $144,000. I get to keep all of it as opposed to only $72,000 if I worked in the USA. So I am practically better off by $72,000. I just doubled my take home. That is a 100% raise!
Perks & Reimbursements
Here is a kicker for you. Put yourself in my shoes and imagine you are making $144,000 in Dubai. Now add to that housing allowance your employer gives you to pay for the sky rocketing rents.
Also add to that gasoline reimbursements for your commute, paid parking, at least one fully paid airfare back home to wherever you are from (this is per Dubai employment laws) and other bells and whistles. Add that on and you are looking at probably another $10,000 or so added to your salary.
Of course you have to negotiate all that. But like I said, if you are educated, qualified and especially if you have Western experience, you will most likely write your own ticket just like the scenario I have you. When it’s good, it’s real good.
Vacation
A Dubai job typically also comes with more vacation time. There are many holidays in Dubai as well that you get off from work in addition to your vacation days. It is not uncommon to get one month’s leave from work on a yearly basis.
And did I mention free airline tickets for you and your family to go back home to whichever country you belong to? That is a very common perk negotiated along with the salary. It is almost unusual not to get it.
International Working Experience
How many times have you seen a job advertisement looking for International experience? How much is usually the starting salary? You are right; it is in very very high demand all around the world.
A job in Dubai will open the doors for you anywhere else in the world. You will be working with the brightest and best in Dubai and companies all around the world would be happy to hire you if you choose to.
Your experience is yours and you can take it anywhere you want to.
Quality of Life
Probably the most underrated benefit of a Dubai job is the quality of life that comes with your career. You will be working in some of the best buildings with state of the art facilities and architecture.
What you touch, sit on, play with will be much better than anything else you have seen. Automobiles are typically cheaper (compared to North America) too by a bit. It has to do with the relaxed trade laws, tariffs and duties.
Overall, it’s just a better lifestyle (mainly for a young professional). There is a lot to do at night, several entertainment options such as shopping, the nightlife, restaurants, hotels, sports, you name it. Ways to Retrieve Confirmation of a Social Security Number on the Internet

The Social Security Number Verification System is a free online tool that allows employers to easily obtain a free Social Security verification for their new employees. Directly from their website, a registered employer can check a potential employee or new hire's identity and Social Security number.
To learn more about the SSA's free Social Security verification system, read on.
The Enumeration Verification System Basics for Employers
Employers can register for the Enumeration Verification System by visiting the SSA's website at ssa.gov/bso/bsowelcome.htm. From this page, the employer must first register for a username and password. Once registered, they can obtain instant results by searching for employee Social Security numbers.
Using E-Verify for All Hiring
E-Verify is the free online tool provided by the Social Security Administration. It allows you, the employer, to conduct a free check of a new employee's status and Social Security number with both the SSA and the DHS.
Essentially, once a job applicant presents their documents showing both their identity and employment eligibility, an employer has 3 days from the official hiring date to perform an E-Verify check. By using the E-Verify tool, an employer is granted civil and criminal immunity for all the employees it runs through the system in good faith. The legal benefits are massive and it's a free service.
E-Verify is a fantastic way to establish your company as a responsible employer and one that ensures they are in compliance with all immigration and hiring laws. Remember though, an employer can't just sit back, relax and assume that simply because a new employee or applicant is cleared on E-Verify, that they're free from future responsibility. A truly diligent employer should take aggressive steps to insure their workplace is free of Social Security fraud.
Using the Enumeration Verification System if You're a Lender
Loan companies are also often prey to instances of Social Security number fraud. This system allows lenders to input a loan applicant's Social Security number and name. After processing the request, they will receive a "no match" or "match" which will show if the Social Security number is correct.
This verification service is run through third-party vendors and is not free. However, it's a critical tool for verifying identity and preventing fraud.
If you're searching for free Social Security verification tools, your only option is with the Social Security Administration or through a lender's vendor. To conduct Social Security number checks, you must be registered with the SSA as an employer and have the proper signed documentation from your new hires.
This can be invaluable information to a hiring organization in validating an employment candidate before bringing him or her on board. And since there is no charge for tapping into the data, it only makes sense to do so, helping to ensure there are no substantial problems with the individual. In fact, the SSA website contains a lot of employer-friendly insights that make it worth perusing through anyway.www.jobsformenow.blogspot.com

Customer Service Jobs Require More Than A Smile

In the world of customer service, there are no strangers, just friends you haven't met yet. And unfortunately, some of those new friends are mean, rude and just weird. But no matter the disposition of your customer de jour, your demeanor should always be poised and professional.
You"ve probably heard the expression, "The customer is always right." No one is always right, not even customers, so we've slightly amended this phrase to read as follows, "The customer is always right…if you want to keep your job." And you do want to keep your job, right? In this economy, jobs are precious resources.
So if you want to excel in the customer service field, there are a few things to remember. A smile goes a long way, but attentive, professional service goes even further. Not every customer is going to leave your business happy, but by treating people with the same respect you expect from them, you can at least minimize the damage a miserable customer can do to you and your company.
Here are a few customer service tips broken down by the most popular customer service industries:
"Counter" culture and retail jobs
When people think about customer service jobs, they often think about the cash register jockeys breaking change, and the sales floor employees folding sweaters and stocking shelves. These retail jobs can be stressful, especially during the holiday shopping season. (And if you haven't already started your seasonal job search, this is a great place to look). One way to ease the stress of these retail gigs is to embrace the diversity they offer. Ask your manager if you can move departments, or see if you can cross-train to learn a new skill set. For example, if you're a store greeter charged with making a positive first impression with customers, see if you can be a changing room attendant.
Manners are on the menu at restaurant jobs
Restaurant jobs may be the most demanding of customer service jobs. You're always on your feet, hungry people aren't always the most polite, and the late-night and weekend hours can be demanding. But these jobs can be especially rewarding because they're one of the few gigs where your effort and positive attitude are directly linked to your earning potential. That's right; tips represent the bulk of the pay for servers, bartenders and even bussers. So remember: Grabbing that extra serving of blue cheese dressing or bringing the undercooked steak back to the kitchen after a sincere apology can reap you big rewards on the flip side.
Dialing in call center jobs
Taking a steady stream of calls from angry and confused customers would be tough to do for 30 minutes. But imagine doing it for eight hours at a time. Many customer services jobs involve never seeing actual customers, but instead talking over headsets while typing up a storm. If you don't have an onsite ergonomic expert at your telemarketing camp, here are a few basic guidelines to make sure that you won't get carpal tunnel syndrome your first week on the job. Be sure to keep your eyes at least 20 inches from your computer screen, adjust the monitor to your eye level and keep your feet positioned firm on the ground. And don't slouch. Working at a desk or cube all day can make you feel cramped and restless.
There are, of course, customer service jobs in a number of additional industries we can't fit here. Just remember: When conducting your next job search, make sure to find out how you'll be interacting with customers - and whether or not that fits your personality.www.jobsformenow.blogspot.com

The Typical Résumé Only Receives About 10-20 Seconds of Attention

You think that after all the time, effort, sweat equity and frustration you put into the preparation of your résumé, it will be received with open arms by the person or company representative you took the time to send it to. You picture the “target” individual opening up the email or envelope with anticipation, and their eyes opening wide, impressed beyond belief as they take their first look at the result of your efforts. You imagine them immediately putting your résumé first and foremost above other résumés, requirements and appointments. You see them spending valuable time reading and taking in each word of your objective, career history, and personal accomplishments; virtually marveling over the vast background of your history and career achievements. For hours after you submit your life on paper you bounce around with a renewed enthusiasm for the job search. You know for certain that within a day or so, you will receive a personal call for an interview, at which time you will jump for joy and spread the news that you are well on your way to snagging that job with “XYZ Company”.
If you are lucky, you won’t have to suffer the same disappointment as the other hundreds of job seekers who thought the same thing. After not hearing anything back from the “target” for a few days, you start to wonder if they received your résumé presentation. Then you call, or follow-up only to be told that it was received and is scheduled to be reviewed; or worse, that they will get back to you. Ouch!
Instead of beating yourself up at this point and falling into the pit of despair, it may be a good idea to hear from someone who cares that it isn’t “you”.
Many companies and corporations of all sizes employ human resource representatives, administrative assistants, secretaries, and other professional assistants to help them manage the multitudes of information and tasks that must be accomplished. Screening résumés will often fall into this category. Even when your résumé is addressed to a particular individual, it may fall in the hands of an employ tasked with identifying specific points of interest as dictated by the hiring authority.
If an employer places an ad for a job opening, or just has career information on their website; imagine how many other job seekers submit their résumé just like you. Then imagine how that appointed representative may have to review hundreds of résumés a week. Screening a résumé is an art, perfected by those who are charged with reviewing massive amounts of paperwork. The seasoned professional will tell you that if the résumé doesn’t portray the information they seek in the top third of the page, it probably will not make it to the next phase of the process. The same holds true for the résumés you submit through an online job assistance center. These résumés will be scanned by automated computer programs for content that most adequately matches or reflects the key words found in an employer’s job description.
Your résumé is just a tool for weeding out job seekers.
The best way to avoid the stress and frustration that résumé building can add to the job search is to contact a Career Development Professional as you set out to reach your career goals. A Professional Résumé Writer will work with you to establish a baseline résumé presentation in which you can build upon for future opportunities.
Consider that you don’t have to contact a professional résumé writer; as there are numerous programs and self help references available to assist you in creating a résumé presentation. If you have access to a computer; are familiar with word processing and have a way with words, you may be able to develop a résumé that gets the job done; but how effective and quickly the product works for your situation may be the drawback.
Professional Résumé Writer is an expert in their career field, and they maintain relationships with a variety of personnel in the employment industry; to include human resource representatives, employers, and other career development professionals. Knowing what the current labor market trends are, and how to help a job seeker stand out above and beyond the competition is their area of expertise, and a resource you would be wise to consider.
For more information on how to locate a Professional Résumé Writer, you might start with a couple of the most recognized Career Development Certification Organizations. Through these resources, you can identify a Résumé Writer or other Career Development Professional in your area to assist you.
The Professional Association of Résumé Writers and Career Coaches (PARW-CC)
The National Résumé Writers Association (NRWA)
By contacting a professional, you can be sure that your investment will reap rewards and that you will receive the expert assistance you need to achieve your personal career goals. In addition, you will receive a well written document that is designed to portray your value to a prospective employer, lead to an interview; and serves as a solid base for revisions as you continue down your career path.www.jobsformenow.blogspot.com

The Best Top Jobs of the Future

If you are planning on going to school to learn skills for a job, you should be aware of the employment prospects for the future. Certain jobs will be hotter than others in the future and others will become obsolete. As more people continue to work online and companies are restructuring to allow employees to work at home, jobs are restructuring themselves. Some of the top jobs of the future according to job network gurus include the following jobs:
Health Care
The health care industry is one area that is not going away - ever. As long as people continue to live, there will be a need for employment in the health care industry. This is actually a field that has continued to expand over the past few years and is en route to expand even further. No longer is the health care industry comprised of just doctors and nurses - it is an assorted team of people who are all striving to work to make others healthier. You do not have to go to years of school for many of the jobs that are available in the health care industry that pay a good salary, either. Many of them require just a two year education and training before you can begin. The health care industry is one of the safest industries to work in. The salaries are very stable and the employment opportunities are always rising.
Technical Support
Those who say that technical employment is on a decline are incorrect. We are in the middle of a technological revolution and the demand for technical jobs, especially those in technical support, is on the rise. Like some of the jobs in the heath care industry, the technical industry does not require an extensive education. This is an industry that relies more on skills than degrees and offers great salary opportunities. If you are interested in technology, consider jobs in the technical support field. You can land a job that pays well by going to school at night or online in this field.
Service Industry
The service industry, like the health care industry, is one that is not going away anytime soon. Employment opportunities for this industry are vast and include direct or indirect service of customers and clients. Services such as hair care, spa services, massage therapy, janitorial and custodial services are not going to go away. These are jobs that require very little education, although you do need a license to work on hair in most states and also in massage therapy. These licenses can be obtained after less than a year of school. Computer technology cannot replace these services and people will continue to want to look and feel good, no matter what the employment climate.
Take a look on a job network site to see about employment predictions and salaries for certain types of jobs. Right now, the employment market is hot for jobs that are more oriented towards skills and service rather than careers in the business sector.www.jobsformenow.blogspot.com

“Must-Do’s” For Every Job Search

Many job seekers are overwhelmed by the amount of options that are out there today. In an effort to navigate through all the muck and mire, I have put together a list of three of the most effective tools that job seekers should keep in their arsenal.
1. Job Seekers Must Have a Job Search Strategy. I don’t think I could ever emphasize this enough. In fact, I believe in the necessity of it so much that I have devoted countless hours to blogging, writing articles, and giving presentations on the subject.
After personally working with ~600 job seekers each year, it stands out to me as the number 1 problem that most candidates have. They invest in the resume. They spend hours and hours combing the Internet for resources, advice, and assistance. They hook up with recruiters and headhunters galore. But when you ask them how much time they are devoting each week, where they are spending the bulk of their time, the number of resumes they are getting out per week, and how much time they expect their search to take, they can only give you a blank stare.
I know that taking the time to sit down and put together a strategy is not as sexy as shelling out hundreds of dollars on the resume or uploading said resume onto some website, but it is important.
The reason it is so important is because basic time/resource management is vital to any search. Both full-time and part-time job seekers need a plan. Nothing so rigid that you can’t be flexible, of course, but you generally need to know how to spend your time wisely. Without it, you will waste more than you should, and you will have a difficult time setting proper expectations.
So whatever you do, take some time and develop a strong strategy that will help guide you along the way.
2. Job Seekers Must Use the Internet More for Research/Networking and Less for Online Posting. How many times have we said, “What did we do before we had the Internet?” It is true that the Internet has revolutionized our lives. Need a recipe? Need to resolve some trivia dispute between you and your spouse? You can have an answer in an instant. And for many job seekers, they want the Internet to be the quick answer to their job search woes.
Nevertheless, statistic after statistic continues to show that online job posting sites are one of the most ineffective methods for finding a job (4% on a good day)! Yet, when you ask most job seekers where they hang their hat for their job search, they will tell you that they have “posted” for many jobs on the Internet and are expecting to hear something any day now. (That’s probably why new sites keep popping up daily. They don’t need to be effective. They just need to show job postings!)
There is no doubt that the Internet is a great research tool. You can research companies, hear about potential openings, link up with old colleagues, and find valuable resources like recruiters. But when it comes down to it, the old methods still are the best: networking, networking, networking. And the more face to face, the better!
3. Job Seekers Must Look for Group Job Hunting Opportunities. Here is a best kept secret if I ever saw one. Group job hunting has an 84% effectiveness rate. When you compare that with a 4% effectiveness rate for online job posting sites, it is hard to believe that more groups aren’t popping up. Job seekers putting their “noddles” (aka heads) together is one of the most powerful tools a candidate can ask for.
Here’s a snippet of how it can work when managed well: Candidate A meets Candidate B. They start talking about their job search woes. Candidate A happens to have a colleague who also specializes in Candidate B’s field. She tells Candidate B that she will set up a lunch date for the three of them to get together. In the meantime, Candidate B happens to know of an opportunity she heard about through a recruiter that Candidate A might be interested in.
Now take that scenario and place into a group setting, where you can have 5, 10, or 20 people all sharing ideas, resources, and contacts. It can be quite a powerful tool when managed correctly.www.jobsformenow.blogspot.com

Dubai Jobs Guide – Why Does Everyone Want One?

The United Arab Emirates (“UAE”) is one of the top destinations for overseas employment for people from all around the world because of the highly paid jobs manifested by the cities’ excellent economy.
Hence, many believe that getting a job in UAE would actually settle them financially for life. These people try to get jobs in UAE and actively seek them through various means.
Dubai, one of the richest and fastest growing cities in the UAE, is continually developing to an exciting, diverse, multi-cultural blend of young, vibrant, and professional people who are enjoying the unrivalled quality of life.
This place has also recorded the fastest growth in population in the world, meaning more and more individuals who want a better life resulting from better careers are moving to Dubai each year.
Unemployment is very low and wide ranges of Dubai jobs are available as many businesses are cropping up and existing ones establishing a presence within the region. It is possible to find work in many different market sectors (financial, hospitality, technology, tourism, construction, engineering, computers, medical, etc.). Some of the popular employment agencies in Dubai are the Nadia, BAC Middle East, IQ Selection, SOS Recruitment, and Clarendon Parker, all of which primarily specialize in Dubai and UAE regions.
If you are among the millions who want to settle in Dubai and work there, you must familiarize yourself with the rules. That said, Dubai jobs do not involve tough constraints if you are educated and qualified enough. You will need to have a residential permit so you can apply for a labor card.
The labor card will let you obtain employment in the UAE while the residential permit (obtained in UAE) can legally sponsor you. A person can legally sponsor you if he/she is a relative of yours. A company who is going to employ you can also sponsor you.
Basically to stay in Dubai you must have a resident visa. You can get this either by buying property in Dubai or get your employer to be your sponsor. The later is quite common and usually a pretty smooth process. Over 80% of Dubai’s population is made of immigrants just like you and I.
Let’s talk requirements. A Dubai visa is the most important ones. All visitors, except GCC nationals, require a visa but free visit visas are issued to most nationalities as they enter Dubai. Some nationalities require visa so it is necessary to ensure yours before traveling.
If you are visiting Dubai for job hunting, you will need a Visit Visa for entering the UAE. Upon finding a job, you can transfer to a residence Visa by either re-entering the country or directly transferring it. Your employer/sponsor will know all about this.
The validity of a visit visa is 60 days (most cases). It can be renewed for a further 30 days upon paying a fee of Dhs 500 at the Department of Immigration (this is approximately $135 USD). A 'visa run' can be made as an alternative, which entails flying to Doha or Muscat at a cost of approximately Dhs 300 (about $80 USD), and re-entering Dubai on a new visit visa.
In case you have a job lined up for you, the company should have your visa application sent to the airport at the time of your arrival, where a residency visa will be stamped in your passport. Search for my article on “Dubai Visa” where I get into details about Dubai Visa requirements.
When planning to bring your family members to live with you in Dubai, you will need to get a family residence visa, which will allow you to sponsor your spouse, children, and parents. To have a family residence visa, remember that your salary must exceed Dhs. 4,000 a month. This should be no problem if you are in a professional white collar field.
All this stuff is great, but wait till you hear about the benefits involved in a Dubai job opportunity. Search for my article on the “Benefits of a Dubai Job” or visit www.Dubai-Information-Site.com to learn all about Dubai careers and job opportunities in Dubai.
The website is also the best and most comprehensive resource for all your Dubai job opportunity related questions. Look for my review on the Dubai Jobs book in the “book review” section of the website. It is by far the best and most practical and useful book written on how to get a job in Dubai.www.jobsformenow.blogspot.com

Questions to be Expected During the Job Employment Interview Process

If you are going to seek “gainful employment” you had best be prepared for any eventuality on job interviews. If you do not do well on the interview you are not going to offer any good jobs simple as that. One might think that every interview should be a new and “different experience”. This is often not the case. In many if not most cases there is a standard “bank” of interview questions. Prepare for these questions, in anticipation, and you will be prepared ahead of the game with a whole shop of prepared answers, looking cool calm and collected. Most job employment and career interview questions are in essence variations only on simple themes.
What are lists of these questions?
1) The classic : “What do you see as your greatest strengths or assets”
2) The converse of the classic greatest strengths questions: “What do you see as your greatest weakness, shortcomings or areas you need to work on?”
3) What factors account for your career or employment success so far, to this point in time, or date?
4) What do you consider your most outstanding qualities?
5) In what areas are others most complimentary to you? This can either be a general question as to your whole life or lifestyle or on the job or jobsite?
6) During performance reviews what areas have frequently or often cited as your key areas of strength? This can be also queried as areas of personal strength or endurance.
7) From a job performance standpoint, what can you consider to be your best and major attributes
8) In checking with your co-workers, in what areas would they describe you as most effective? The converse would be the question in what area would they describe you as the least effective, and need wanting?
9) What aspects of this position do you feel you will feel that you perform particularly well? The converse of this would be not particularly well or not up to your best standards.
10) The all over classic employment question to be expected during the course of any interview or set of interviews and not to be missed : Describe your three ( or four, five or six) greatest strengths and tell me ( or the group of interviewers) , how you have used these to realize improvements or accomplishments in your current job , position or career ?
11) A similar question taken from another vantage point or tack could well be “Which two major accomplishments best illustrate your key or vital strengths and passions?”
12) Another similar way of restating this question in an apparently new and novel format could be “In what way do you consider your strengths, attributes or qualifications unique or distinctive from other applicants, or interview subjects applying for this or that position?”
These are a basic set of a dozen standard interview questions the like and format you should well expected to be prepared for and cover. While it is true that you can never be prepared for each and every eventuality, these questions form the basis of most job employment interview questions and scenarios. If you do not prepare ahead of time you may falter or hesitate in answering questions or situations that are presented to you during the course of any interview, sets of interviews or the interview process as a whole. Take the time to think and work through this set of a dozen standard interview questions ahead of time, before the actual job employment interview. Answer them to your own personal liking. Prepare answers in your mind and test them out on friends and family as well.
In this manner you will be best and better prepared for job employment interviews and any questions or situations that you will find in the vast majority of employment interview situations and scenarios. You will be better prepared than 99% of any other job applicants. It’s all money in the bank.www.jobsformenow.blogspot.com

10 Things You Must Do Before That Successful Interview

1. Review your resume.Sure, you know it by heart. But what was it that caught the eye of this recruiter or the HR pro? Specialized experience? Unique training? A steady history of career advancement? Revisit your resume from the point of view of the interviewer. It may provide insight into the company's employee needs – something that would certainly be advantageous to know going in.2. Get back on-line.The Internet served you well in the preparation of personalized cover letters targeted at the recipients' needs. Okay, visit the company web site again and start taking notes. Corporate officers, the latest press releases, the company's annual report. Gather as much information as you can on your soon-to-be-employer.3. Study, study, then cram. The more you learn about your callback company, the better you're going to feel walking in that door. Knowledge is power. Knowledge will make you more confident in your attitude and your answers. You know this stuff. You've studied it! Knowledge of company products, services, protocols and procedures shows the interviewer that you're proactive, with an eye for detail and an appreciation for the power of preparation. In other words, you'll make a positive impression.4. Rehearse your interview. How can you rehearse for something that doesn't have a script? Write one. You know the typical questions you'll be asked so write down some of your most insightful, witty thoughts regarding the state of your industry and profession. Be prepared to describe past positions, responsibilities and accomplishments. This is not a time for false modesty, so don't be afraid to highlight your professional strengths and play down your terrible typing skills. Remember: it's no brag if it's the truth. Ask your spouse, your child or a friend to play the role of interviewer so you become more comfortable speaking about yourself in front of others. Again, this is a confidence builder. The more you practice, the more confident you'll be.5. Develop your list of questions.Your interview shouldn't be seen as some type of interrogation. It's a "getting to know you" meeting, so feel free to ask questions. However, your first question shouldn't be "How much do I get paid?" or "How's the 401k plan, here?" Instead, ask questions that show you understand the job and the company's needs. Be quick to pick up on the interviewer's comments and ask relevant questions.Interviewer: We've had some issues with field reports coming in late recently. You: How are the reports transmitted?(Oh, you're good. Very good.)6. Dress for success. An interview is a performance with people playing different roles. Your role is successful job prospect. Play the part. Whether you're female or male, the conservative business suit is the recommended attire for any interview. If your business suit needs a pressing, send it to the dry cleaners. If you don't own a suit (you'd be surprised at the number of us who don't) go out and get one. It doesn't have to be an $800 designer suit, but it should be conservative black, blue or gray.7. Get cut or coiffed. You'll have 15 minutes to make a good impression. Treat yourself to a visit to the local hair stylist. You bet looks matter. They'll be plenty of time to show your talent once you land the job. For now, look like a success, feel like a success – be a success.8. Practice positive visualization.Professional athletes do it. So do actors, yoga instructors and new age thinkers who sleep under makeshift pyramids to absorb that mystical energy. It's called positive visualization – and it works. It really does. In the days leading up to the interview, picture yourself sitting opposite the head of HR. Picture yourself relaxed, comfortable, at the top of your game. Play that clip over and over in your mind until it becomes so familiar, it actually becomes a part of your self-image. It simply can't be stated too often – your confidence during an interview should be obvious and genuine.9. Gather your materials. The day before the interview, gather your materials and place them in a briefcase or attaché. Don't have one? Buy one or borrow one. It's another opportunity to project that professional image you wear so well. Bring extra copies of your resume in a manila envelop. Bring a pad and pencil to take notes. Bring a calculator (you never know). Bring your address book and copies of your business card. If you've been asked to provide additional information (school transcripts, e.g.) make sure you've got clean copies ready to hand over.10. Sleep tight. You've done it all. You've prepared yourself; you've built your confidence so you can look the interviewer straight in the eye. You are ready to rock ‘n' roll! Okay, too psyched. You'll never get to sleep. The night before the interview, go to bed early. Have some warm milk, coco or herbal tea (stay away from the 3rd scotch). Relax. Set the alarm and sleep comfortably in the knowledge that you're as prepared as you'll ever be. No, not every interview will be a success. You won't get the job every time – but don't take it personally. It's not about you; it's about the needs of the company. However, you can increase the chances of success by presenting a professional, prepared, and confident you to the interviewer. That's how you turn an interview into a job offer. You're hired!www.jobsformenow.blogspot.com
